Stabilized sand

Stabilized sand consists of concrete sand to which approximately 10% of cement is added to give the sand (extra) stability and hydraulic properties. In order to obtain an optimal mix, preparation in a concrete mixing plant is recommended.

Stabilized sand is mainly used for the construction of roads. It is also a ideal base for use as a flat, load-bearing foundation when constructing a concrete (retaining) wall from Legio blocks®.

Stabilized sand is not supplied in concrete mixers, however suitably equipped vehicles are available for the transportation of stabilized sand.
